Phuket's Malin "Lin" Wins Miss Grand Thailand 2024

Phuket native Malin "Lin" Charanan achieved the title of Miss Grand Thailand 2024, following an impressive performance at the Bravo BKK shopping mall in Bangkok on Saturday. The Thai-Singaporean beauty will represent Thailand at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2024 competition, scheduled for October in Myanmar.

During the finals, Malin distinguished herself among the top five contestants with her response to a challenging question about Thai soft power promotion. She emphasised the significance of Miss Grand as a powerful tool for international outreach, highlighting its role in showcasing Thai culture without requiring contestants to learn the language or customs.

Malin also highlighted the opportunity for sponsors of the contest to become familiar with Thai products, particularly endorsing gourami fish chili paste, a perennial bestseller.

The 27-year-old Malin holds a bachelor's degree from Thammasat University's Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication and is actively engaged as an influencer and CEO of the cosmetics company Skinboss Thailand. Her victory underscores her commitment to promoting Thailand's cultural influence on a global platform.
