Chiang Mai Hotel Review: Art Mai? Gallery Hotel

For our four-night stay in Chiang Mai we chose to stay at the Art Mai? Gallery Hotel is located in the leafy suburb of Soi 3, Nimmanhaemin Road. The hotel is a 7-minute walk of the MAYA shopping center and centrally located to the majority of attractions in the city. The location is perfect in my opinion.

Art Mai? is ranked 9 out of 602 hotels on Tripadvisor and rated 8.6 (excellent) on www.booking.com and in my opinion deservedly so.

Check-in is was friendly and efficient and that is exactly what you expect during the "new normal" in the hotel industry. We stayed in room 604 - Premier Art Room. This was on the sixth floor - Surrealist Art Rooms. We paid 1100 THB per night through www.agoda.com however this did not include breakfast. There are numerous eateries within walking distance of the hotel. I will review them in a future post.

The room was tastefully decorated with some beautiful paintings. There was a cool little easel in the corner of the room where you could doodle if you wanted too. Our room also had a nice coffee table and a very comfortable leather armchair. The room also had a small refrigerator, flat-screen tv, tea/coffee facilities, him and her bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, a hairdryer, and a safety deposit box.

The bed was firm but not uncomfortable in any way. I really got a great night's sleep here. The room was very clean and hats of to the housekeeping team who took care of our room.

The hotel also has a rooftop pool and restaurant however I cannot comment on either as we did not use them.

The only criticism I can make is that the wardrobe lacked hangers (four given in total).

Overall I can highly recommend this hotel for comfort, location, quality, and overall value.

Review Score 8/10
