3 Things to do in Hua Hin for Free

We all love to travel and explore and see the world God has given us. I recently spent a few days in the seaside town of Hua Hin in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Hua Hin is a 3-hour drive south of Bangkok and in our case an 8-hour drive from the province of Phuket.

Below you will find 3 places in Hua Hin that I really enjoyed visiting and to top it all off they were FREE to visit.

Rajabhakti Park

8 Petchkasem Rd, Nong Kae, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110

Rajabhakti Park is a historical theme park honouring past Thai kings from the Sukhothai period to the current royal house of Chakri. It was built by the Thai Army on 87 acres of Thai Army property. To visit the actual monument and statues is Free. The best time to visit is the first thing when it opens at 8 am or later in the afternoon before it closes at 5 pm as it is in the open and can get very hot and humid.

Wat Khao Krailart

Nong Kae, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110

A beautiful and aged temple in Hua Hin with stunning panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding hills. Of course, it's free to enter but a nice donation is always good to help the monks pay for the basics of electricity and upkeep. It's a little confusing when travelling there by car but please follow the google map link and you should be fine.

Pranburi Forest Park and Nature Reserve

14 ผาสุกวนิช 16 Pak Nam Pran, Pran Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77220

This is a beautiful nature reserve which is located about 25km from Hua Hin. It was founded in 1982 under her majesty Queen Sirikit. It encompasses more than 3 square km of land and is best known for its dense mangroves and wooden walkway which runs for about 2km. It makes a lovely stroll over the course of the day. You can also verge of the beaten track and stroll along the beach to the mouth of the Pranburi River. If you do wish you can catch a boat trip up the river but this will set back about 500 THB with the local fisherman. To clarify however entrance to the park is free for both Thai citizens and foreigners. I can highly recommend a half-day at this nature reserve. You will definitely happy you stopped here.

A trip to Hua Hin is always great but when it's free it's even better.
